Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed on TV and in films is most well-known for her roles in films such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her career in show business in the early years of her life. At the age of 16, she turned 16, Alexandra had landed the leading roles in numerous shows on television. Her critically acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Over the years Alexandra has been involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. This includes the British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she is a jury member at each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
